With the installation Synthetic Futures, I aim to question the definition of dress through the knitted object. The installation is approaching dress in the intersection between body and space and uses digital knit to reform the expressions into a bold, contemporary installation with parallels to the human body. The knit is programmed with a colour-based pixel input where each pixel corresponds to a knitting needle. The outcome of the installation is therefore digital before it is formed in the physical world.
